Sonic Ablutions is the split between autodealer (Matthew Richter) and The Corrupting Sea (Jason T. Lamoreaux). The split was sold on their April 2023 mid-west tour. Coming together for the first time, autodealer and The Corrupting Sea dual headlined a tour, playing gigs for the first time together. As a duo, they are known as Transverse. The middle track on the split is a Transverse track recorded during the Returning to the Fount of Destruction sessions.

"Autodealer and the Corrupting Sea are ambient electronic projects. They released singles “Driving in a Fog Seems Like a Mist Opportunity” and “Coldwave in the Coldcave” as part of a Somewherecold Records album called “Sonic Ablutions”, which will release in full on September 1, 2023.

My impressions: These two tracks share a similar motif which combines a sort of mystical quality with a bright cosmosis. The listener can easily find herself drifting through the avenues of her mind, recalling beautiful, star lit memories as she appreciated the depth and harmony of these tunes."
